“ I decided to get dinner at this spot due to the great reviews on Yelp. I had just spent a few hours walking around the downtown area and was starving. They have a small parking lot that wasn't full. As soon as I exited the car I was warmly greeted by on their employee. NYC would never, loll. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant did have a few tables and chairs to sit and eat. However, it looked more like a take out spot. They had a small area where the food was kept and you get to see what suited your fancy. I decided to get the barbecue chicken, mac and cheese and collard greens. The prices were fair. The food was delicious. The chicken and collards were nicely seasoned. I wasn't a fan of the Mac and cheese that was too cheesy and lacked seasoning. However I still enjoyed my entire meal. I would definitely return to check out some other menu items. ”
“ Oh yes, they have got it right over here!! Pull up and there's a smoker outside smelling incredible. I knew I had made it. I got a pulled pork plate with baked beans and collards. Delicious, southern food done correctly. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area. The staff was very kind and helpful as well. ”
“ This review is way past due but I waited quite a long time to try Munchies. It's a small atmosphere but the flavor of the meat and sauce definitely packs a punch. They were polite when I called and answered my questions as well so the service was good. I wasn't so heartbroken at the greens because it's very rare that someone actually knows how to cook greens, however, I did expect more from the macaroni and cheese. I ordered the large rib meal that comes with two sides. I chose Mac and baked beans and I added a side of Collard Greens. The sauce, ribs and baked beans were so good that they canceled out just how bad the greens and Mac were. I'd most definitely come back for the ribs and sauce alone though. Maybe next time I'll try baked beans and potato salad as my combo, but I promise if you come here and try their meat and bbq sauce (the chicken was just as good) you'll thank me later!! ”

“ Nothing much to look at from the outside, but the food here is really good! I ordered the ribs and chicken (but only received the ribs....) with a side of collard greens and mac n cheese. The ribs were fall off the bone good but the collards were underwhelming. My husband agreed that he's had better. They have a lot to offer here and I would stop by again if in the area (and to get my darn chicken!! Haha!!). ”
“ This is such a gem if you're looking for soul food. I ordered my food to go and it's setup like a buffet inside but they serve the food. I got the pig feet combo which came with loads of rice, and I got the Mac and cheese with the greens. I'll be honest because isn't that the point?!?!?! The pig feet were seasoned to perfection and so delicious...now the Mac and cheese was extremely bland, while the greens were edible but nothing to rave about. My meal came out to a little over $18. ”
“ MUNCHIES BBQ & SEAFOOD & SOUL FOOD Today, we had Mac n Cheese. Red Rice. 2 Large Pork Chops and 2 Turkey Wings. The food was amazing and Superb just like the 1st time last week. They feed you very well, and you get plenty of good food on your plate. The customer service is always great. Very kind and welcoming people who own, operate, and work there. “ Been searching for great soul food in the area since Mrs. Wilkes stopped taking "to-go" orders!!! Yes, I've finally found my spot... The chicken snack was fall off the bone delicious and my mouth waters just thinking about it!!! The Mac & cheese was 5 star and I wanted more, but my hips didn't need it... The oxtails are "The Best" I've had since my sweet soulful granny transitioned!!! I'm coming back just for the oxtails alone ;-) The ribs were 4 out of 5 stars. They were well seasoned, and the meaty parts were good, but the ends were a bit dry. The greens were cooked with smoked rib pieces and were okay! Not my favorite... The bbq sauce was not my thing either, but I keep my Stubbs on me at all times... I'm definitely coming back to try the Turkey wings and the seafood items (sold from Thursday to the weekend)!!! Now for the most addicting thing on the menu "Banana Pudding Cake", run don't walk for this... Highly recommend, exceptional service, amazing food & desserts, and not to sweet lemonade & sweet tea!!!! ”
“ Delicious soul food and a must visit if in Savannah. Owners are very friendly and they have a nice dine-in area to eat at. We got the stewed oxtails and pig's feet and it was so heartwarming on a rainy day. The meat was so tender and full of flavor and love. Plus, they are generous with their portions. All the sides are great but the meats are where they really specialize in. Don't be afraid to get out of the historic center and get some real soul food here. ”
